What is the DSA Prep Programme™?
This is a preparatory course designed for students aiming to secure admission through the Direct School Admission (DSA) route.
Through an integrated curriculum combining coding, robotics, and innovation, your child will gain hands-on experience in Python programming, Arduino and C++, and develop a self-designed robotics project to showcase their creativity and technical skills. Most importantly, the course is designed to strengthen your child’s problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities. These are key qualities schools look for during the DSA selection process.
Your child will also undergo mock robotics and problem-solving tests, interview practice sessions, and receive a personal DSA portfolio website to highlight their achievements and projects. This programme equips students with both the technical know-how and the confidence to stand out from the crowd in their DSA journey.

01 — Personal DSA portfolio website
Students create their own digital portfolio to showcase skills and projects for DSA applications.
02 — Python Foundation
Build a solid foundation in Python programming through fun, hands-on exercises.
03 — Python for Robotics
Learn how coding powers real-world robots using Python-based applications.
04 — Arduino & C++
Explore electronics and programming by building simple circuits and robotic prototypes.
05 — Self-Designed Robot Innovation Project
Design and build a unique robot from scratch, combining creativity and technical skills.
06 — Leadership & Critical Thinking Workshop
Develop leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking through interactive activities.
07 — Mock Robotics/Problem-Solving Test
Practice logical thinking and problem-solving through DSA-style robotics challenges.
08 — Mock Interview Practice
Gain confidence through guided mock interviews and personalized feedback.

Breaking down MOE’s DSA-Sec
Primary 6 (P6) students can seek admission to certain secondary schools based on their talent in sports, Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) and specific academic areas.
Identify
What are your child’s strengths and weaknesses? Are there specific aspects of STEM that interests them?
Target
Seek out schools
that offer the subjects and programmes that complement your child’s talents and strengths.
Nurture
Build up a portfolio of work that can be used during their application.
Apply
The Ministry of Education will open up the DSA-Sec application portal in the middle of each year.
